Mission Statement

To aid in The Comment Revolution by providing a review service based on Requests.

To Join

Send a note with the subject title Join and tell us which area of art you want to critique for entry. Once received, it will be asked of you to review a piece in that specific area. This piece will be a piece by a current member of ~ReviewsbyRequest. It will be sent to you in note form through a link. After you have completed the review you must send us a link in note form so that we may review it. When you are accepted you will be given notification. After you are accepted you are free to comment upon any projects on the list, not only the ones in the area you used for entry.

To Make a Request

Send a note with the subject title Request that includes a link to the specific piece and any questions you may want answered.

Disclaimer

This is not official advice. The group is made up of fellow deviants who show an interest in helping other poets by providing their opinion. Everything given in a Critique is merely a compilation of the Critics opinions, preferences, and prior experiences. We do not offer an editing service; we only offer the opportunity to receive an honest and thorough review of your work. It is up to the artist to decide whether the opinions stated in a Review are to be kept and considered or discarded. The aim is to help a writer to grow and improve, not to insult or embarrass. Please do not send us a request if you cannot handle honesty.

Tools and Helpful Information
Our goal is to help improve all comments all around the deviant community. The required review to join is just to see how that member will make comments, and make sure they are willing to be honest and thorough. We are always interested in helping deviants who want to be better critics and reviewers, which is why we are providing helpful links such as these below.

Nice to meet you! I'm Jinx, the specialist on paintings here at ~ ReviewsbyRequest. Unfortunatley, by the time I'm on the internet I'm going through withdrawals :blownose: - so bad art here irritates me more than the average person.
thanks for the offer
and i'd have to say that i only have 1 wp
and poetry up
so if you'd rather judge gfx art
it might be a while...

You know what I'm getting tired of? People coming to the group and submitting the worst piece they have. What is that? This one guy submitted a scan of the doodles he wrote on his spiral bound notebook. in the description he wrote that it was just a thoughtless doodle. Then he submits it to us and expects us to put thought into his doodle.

I'm sorry - it makes me mad. For once, I'd like to put an effort towards a piece in which an effort was invested in. I find it disrespectful.

How would you feel if someone came up to you with a wad of used toilet paper and asked you to criticize it? What would you say? Well if you're like me you'd tell that person to go to hell after serving a swift one to his nose.

I'm going to keep citicizing and I'm going to get a whole lot meaner to those who submit anything on blue ruled paper.
